What we inspect
A pre-purchase timber pest inspection covers the accessible areas of the building and the property within 30 metres of the structure and inside the boundary: interior, roof void, subfloor, exterior, outbuildings, fences, retaining walls and trees.
What we're looking for
- Live termite activity
- Evidence of past termite activity and any repairs made
- Termite damage to structural and secondary timbers
- Borers and wood decay fungi
- Conducive conditions: poor drainage, timber-to-ground contact, insufficient subfloor ventilation, leaking wet areas
- The presence and condition of any existing termite management system
What you get
A report prepared in accordance with AS 4349.3, delivered promptly, written so you can hand it to your solicitor. Where we find something, you get photographs and a plain-English explanation of what it means for the purchase, including whether it's a walk-away or a negotiating point.
Inspection periods are short. As soon as your contract is signed, ring us and we'll fit you in.
